ECOkids aims to connect young kids and their families to the natural environment by encouraging them to enjoy exploring outdoors, be creative using natural and recycled materials and learn about looking after plants, animals and the environment.

We meet at the lovely Green Farm, in Shadoxhurst, home to the Pearce Coggan Foundation, where we explore the community garden, feed the chickens and the pigs and play and get creative in the woodland.

Check out our Workshops page for more details.

At the beginning of each session  there will be some engaging activities to introduce the theme of the session and time to explore the community garden and feed the chickens and the pigs.

The children learn through sensory play and nature-spotting walks about plants and animals and enjoy racing around the garden searching for different hidden images or objects. Depending on their age they can try to match colours or shapes or identify different species of animals or plants.

We have lots of fun creating interesting and nature-inspired art and crafts using natural and sustainable materials and enjoy exploring the woodland and having drinks and snacks, stories and songs together.
